The Aquila team has been involved in the nuclear industry for the past 40 years with experience from every licenced nuclear site in the UK.

Our seasoned engineers have been involved in projects from the design concept stage right through to manufacturing, testing, installation and commissioning. This experienced group of nuclear engineers have worked hand in hand with Aquila’s younger engineers coming into the industry.

Clients engage with Aquila at different stages in the delivery process, but we like to get involved as early as possible so that we can share best industry practice from the start, saving time, money and delivering exactly to our clients’ requirements.

At Aquila, we employ a team of engineers covering a wide spectrum of engineering including automotive, oil & gas, pharmaceutical and structural. This gives us a broad perspective on providing solutions which are fresh and pragmatic. We also actively seek a wide age profile in the team and encourage ownership but with support.

From feasibility through to turnkey, Dave’s industry experience stretches far and wide. His vast expertise covers a strategic, technical and commercial portfolio providing hands-on solutions to mission critical engineering.

CHRIS THOMSON
Engineering & Projects Director

Starting out as a Project Engineer, Chris has never been far from the Nuclear Industry gaining vast experience in design, development, manufacture and commissioning. Most recently Chris has been involved with containment & radiological shielding, remote handling, radioactive materials & packaging and hot cells and non-shielded isolators.

With a background in engineering, Drew is ideally placed to promote the Aquila approach of providing innovative solutions in a safe way. Drew’s fundamental business development skills combined with his engineering years of experience have made him an integral component of Aquila.
